Entering Match Results
Each CLUB has a unique login (username and password). This login can be shared with team captains (where there is more than one team) or the club may nominate a specific person to enter the match results. It only involves entering a single figure for each team that has played a home match (e.g. 5-4, 6-3, or 2-7, etc). Once a match score has been recorded in the database, it can no longer be changed except by someone with adminsistrative access to the database.
Only the home team for the match is able to enter a result. Ideally, the result should be entered as soon as possible after the conclusion of the match and within 24 hours unless there are exceptional circumstances. This enables the away team to be able to check the result without having to re-visit this site.
Everyone is able to see the results as soon as they are entered so that any errors can be reported and rectified so at least one person from both teams/clubs should check the result that has been entered.
There is a specific screen for marking a match as conceded (see far right column – after the “Scoring” column). If a match is conceded, a C should be entered against the name of the conceding team. The system will automatically award a 5-0 win and 2 points to the other team while the conceding team receives a two-point penalty.
The League Table rankings appear in real time according to the scores that have been entered.
