Even though Gainsborough (2) started the Evening League Final (the Holmes Cup) with a handicap of 20, the team managed to beat Epworth (3) 75-48. This was a great follow-up to winning the 4th division title last season.
In the other Evening League Final (the Brittain Cup), North Scarle (2) from the 2nd division managed to overcome the mighty Retford 1 from the 1st division 84-71 – including a handicap of 56.
Following the Finals, the League presentations were given, with the 1st division cup being won by Retford (1); Retford (3) were presented with the winning cup for the 2nd division; Epworth (3) certainly had some compensation with winning the 3rd division title and Brigg (4) won the 4th division.
